Boarders Learning to Survive
Boarders at the Prep School, more used to the comfort and convenience of a ‘home from home’ environment with regular tasty and healthy meals laid on, spent a day building shelters and cooking their own food recently.
Learning the art of bushcraft and survival in the Piddle Woods, 35 pupils collected fuel, cooked trout on an open fire and constructed shelters for protection from the elements.
The day was arranged by House Parents, Dan and Isabel Browse as part of a whole range of new activities including weekly baking at home with Isabel Browse, and an ‘It’s a Knockout’ Competition.
