Parents' Association
As Chairman of our Parents’ Association, welcome to our web page. This is really only the start and we will be adding more information in due course.
We are very active: last year we enjoyed a Christmas Fair, a Wine Tasting Quiz Night, a musical Picnic in the Park, an excellent Summer Ball and a sunny Summer Fair. All of these events were run by and for the parents of Clayesmore Prep School children.
Our aims are to:
- Provide opportunities for parents to meet up: to get to know each other, to make new friends, to share in the outstanding resources that the school has to offer.
- Raise funds which can be used to assist the school: For instance, in the last 2 years we have donated the adventure playground outside Home Lodge, 2 DVD players, a pool table for the boarders, 23 chess sets, waistcoats to the Clayesmore Jazz Band, and books for the library. You will find more detail on charitable status on the Charity Commission website.
The PA is run by a committee of trustees and members – you will find them listed in the Parents’ Directory. Please know that you are very welcome to help in any way that you can – and, of course, to enjoy the events as they happen. You will also see many members of the Association, as well as the Headmaster, at the twice termly “Coffee, croissants and catch up”. These are yet another opportunity for parents to meet up on a Saturday morning over a cup of coffee and a croissant. Everyone is welcome to these events – if you haven’t been before, come along and say hello.
