English Schools' (West Region) Under 15 Tour
Many congratulations go again to Lewis McManus (Year 10) who has produced performances that have earned him several wonderful opportunities in recent times. Following his appearance for the MCC Schools’ XI at Lord’s in the Autumn term, and his continued involvement with the Dorset Emerging Players programme, Lewis has now received the news that he has earned selection to join the English Schools’ (West Region) Under 15 tour to the West Indies at Easter. The West Region includes the best players from 9 counties so Lewis’ selection indicates his ability to perform at the highest levels in comparison with other strong cricketers from the region. Lewis’ achievement is only the 6th time a pupil from either Clayesmore’s Prep or Senior Schools has received this invitation. We wish him the best of luck and a memorable experience of touring to a country with such a fantastic history of cricket.
Meanwhile, Lewis’ Clayesmore teammates are working hard in Winter nets in order to prepare for the Summer term’s school cricket season. Training for over 30 boys takes place on Tuesday evenings with the help of Julian Shackleton.
