Cricketers Honoured by The Forty Club

The Clayesmore Cricket team has been honoured as winners of the prestigious Forty Club Trophy this year. This annual award, known as the Henry Grierson Cup, is made to the school or youth side that, in their match against the Forty Club, is adjudged to have performed best and to have met the criteria of sportsmanship, captaincy, turnout, cricketing skills and behaviour on and off the field. Clayesmore has welcomed 111 new girls and boys into the senior school at the start of the new term, and 61 (including 20 new boarders) into the prep school. A dozen intrepid Clayesmore adventurers have just returned from the school’s annual expedition tour. This year’s trip was to Iceland for a week of trekking, whale watching, snow and ice climbs and horse riding.
